Cluster Assistant Director of Sales

Scopeand General Purpose of Job :
Reportingto the Cluster Director of Sales & Marketing, this position is accountablefor managing the total sales, marketing and distribution efforts of theproperties. This includes the generation of all revenues consistent with thecompany objectives and set targets; implementation of sales performancemanagement systems and market segmentation analysis for Group, Corporate,Wholesale, and Transient as well as supporting marketing objectives.Allwork will be in line with the hotel’s business plan andin accordance with Wyndham corporate policies andprocedures, as well as local requirements and regulations.
Achievement of TotalHotel revenue goals as set forth by the Cluster Director of Sales &Marketing.
Direct and manage allactivities related to the Sales within his/her area of responsibility andensuring all standards (procedural and Brand) are followed.
Provide guidance anddirection in the development of segment and key account action plans andstrategies
Achieve individualroom revenue and/or room night goals, ensure the achievement of salesobjectives on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis and manage the SalesIncentive Programs
Supports Global SalesOffices and monitors the working relationship and production
Assisting S&M associates’ achievement of individualgoals and quotas on an annual basis
Maintain an efficientand effective office environment through daily briefings, weekly (or bi-weekly)one-on-one sessions, weekly revenue and sales meetings and monthly departmentalmeeting under the guidance of the Cluster Director of Sales & Marketing.
Review salescontracts, ensure the integrity of key accounts, the key prospect data base andmonitoring of the sales software programs for accuracy and thoroughness andprovides suggestions for improvement to Cluster Director of Sales &Marketing.
Insure the maintenanceand operational efficiency of in-house sales technology and systems management.
Coordinates thehotel’s participation in multiple property and company-wide campaigns.
Knowledgeable aboutthe competitive set and will be on top of market-share statistics.
Participate in selectsales and promotional activities both on and off property as directed by theCluster Director of Sales & Marketing.
Prepare on an annualbasis – strategic plan, Sales and Marketing Plan and Budget for approval
Balance operational,administrative and Associate needs
Follow departmentalpolicies and procedures
Follow all safetypolicies

Human Resource Management:
Screens, interviews ad selects potential associatefor the department if required
Develops and recommends appropriatetraining to meet guest and internal needs
Checks that own associate meets andexceeds expectations by training and encouraging associate to serve withpassion
Identifies training needs and ensuresthat quality standards are met by all associate
Makes sure associate receives skillstraining, to provide consistent, reliable service
Encourages, develops and manageseffective employee relations throughout the hotel
Identifies associates with potential forpromotion and/or transfer and makes appropriate development plans for him orher together with the Cluster Director of Human Resources
